My father had died suddenly a week before Thanksgiving in 2020. Due to the pandemic restrictions, my family could not attend the funeral. I had left a drawing from my daughter, and a framed photograph of my father and me dancing at my wedding.

Returning a few weeks later, I had discovered that the drawing had unfortunately blown into a nearby field and that the framed photo had started to erode. I wanted to create a box that can help keep these items safer than before.

Leaving items at resting sites is an act that helps survivors in the grieving process. This act of giving is especially needed when loved ones can't pay their respects during the time of a funeral. I wanted to help keep the cemetery clean while respecting cemetery regulations and leave items as simple as a drawing from my daughter to see when she visits her grandfather's resting place
